The baby of the group
at the tender young age of 33, Paul is also the founder, manager,
director, co-coach, chauffeur, janitor, and lord of the web page.
A third generation barbershopper, Paul was practically weaned on the stuff. His earliest memories include cleaning the house with his father singing bass to his old barbershop records (which Paul FINALY returned to him after nearly a decade).
He joined the Detroit-Oakland chapter of the Barbershop Harmony Society (formerly S.P.E.B.S.Q.S.A) in April of 2003, originally intending to sing baritone. Noticing the plethora of empty seats in the tenor section, he figured he'd try it for a day - and has been there ever since.
Though not joining the Society until 2003, he has been in quartets since high school, forming his first quartet , the Four Beauregards, for Dondero High School's Collage Concert in 1992 as a baritone. Since joining the Society, he has been singing tenor for quartets like Shindig, Loving Memory, and Name TBD (a pick-up quartet for a DOC performance), and enjoyed every minute of it.
He's a music education major at Wayne State University, with plans to be a high school band and/or choir director upon his graduation. He is also a loving husband to Sonya, father of of 2 (Liam Sean - 7, and Courtney Teagan - 3), 'Entertainment Specialist' at Blockbuster Video in Royal Oak, musical instrument repair technician for Custom Music Company in Ferndale, marching drill designer, marching band technician, and private brass teacher. He's a self-proclaimed "tenth level geek", whose interests include drum & bugle corps, Star Trek, barbershop harmony, old comedy records, and dabbling on the ukulele (which has earned him the moniker of "Ukulele Guy" wherever he goes).
